Balance of Terror

This image, still burned into my mind from childhood both haunts and excites me. As a kid "Balance of Terror" was one of my all time favorite episodes of Star Trek. I would pull out my Star Trek Micromachine Enterprise and Romulan Bird of prey and recreate the battle myself with sound effects and all. This also reminds me of how many Star Trek toys I own. When you start as a child its hard not to build a collection. Anyways, Balance of Terror, is the classic battle between two captains. I love stories like that. Also this episode includes appearances from Mark Lenard as the Romulan captain. Years later Mark would play Sarek, Spocks father. Also starring Lawrence Montaigne as a Romulan crew member. Lawrence appeared in The Great Escape(1963) as a captured American 3 years before appearing in Balance of Terror.

And a bit more in depth, my fellow nerd fans, you may remember Lawrence Montaigne as Mr. Glee in the old Batman TV show.

Watchmen!

If you have not seen the new Watchmen trailer you really are missing out even if you don't know anything about it. Trailer two came out at the end of November.

I really need to start going to bed earlier. Since I work from 1pm to 10pm I have gotten into the habit of staying up till 3 or 4 and getting up at 11:30. I take a shower, eat and drive to work. When I get home after work i check my email, watch a movie or play video games into the night. I really need to get a new hobby. Its to tough to ride my motorcycle in the winter so there goes that hobby. I should go to bed, bleh.

New Semester

well I haven't written in my log for quite a while. I have been on Christmas break spending time with my girlfriend and now busy with the new semester. Tonight I had a lot of fun playing my friends Nintendo Wii. It is really fun to play let me tell you. Because I played it so much I mistakenly forgot to call my girlfriend. Another strike against Steve in the argument that video games do not take precedence my girlfriend. On the contrary, I love my girlfriend Jamie very much! And the great thing is she still loves me back even when I forget to call her!

what do I write?

What do I write about? Do I write about love, or politics? Or do I write about my day? What if my day was really boring? Do I still write about it? Should I write about my friends or my enemies? Should I tell stories of my past or write about hopes and dreams for my future? Should I type entries or put them into video form? There are just to many things to write about and to many ways to express them. Sometimes choices are hard but, I still thank God for them!
